How To Achieve Economic Independence

Go to an island. Take all money on this planet. Show me how you plan to survive with it. Goods and services have value. Money does not. Money is simply an accounting tool. Know the principle. Products are prior to money, not the other way round.
Why do you pay someone? Because there is something you want more than money. What should you do if you want to be on the other side of the transaction? Make something useful that people want more than money. Thus, products are prior to money.
To make something useful, you need skills. Most people today are not prepared to survive without a boss or master because have no skills. They don’t know how to make anything. Society has brainwashed them to think that they need a degree to survive. Wrong. When was the last time you asked a service provider about his degree? When you buy a car, do you look for the firm employees’ degrees? You don’t, because you know degrees to be inherently worthless. What counts is skills.
Where do skills come from? They come from doing something for a long time. This is where your interests come into play. It was not by accident that you have unique interests and inclinations. You were meant to follow them, in which process, you would have developed skills. You were then meant to package those skills into valuable products that society needs. Contrary to what you have been told, you are not a burden on society. You are here to uniquely contribute to society.
This the natural/normal path to economic independence -
Do what you like to do for a long time.
Once skilled, package your skills into valuable products
Find people who need the products.
Serve your market honestly.
Everything else is a scam. Do not listen to society. Don’t waste time on schools and colleges. They are merely means to fleece people who don’t know how the world works.
Time estimates -
If you do something 40-50 hours a week for 4 years, you will be able to earn an income doing it. In 5 years, you will become really good. In 10 years, you will be one of the best. Don't live in fear. Do what you want to do for the next 4 years. Thank me later.
P.S. A job does not make you independent. You are still dependent on your employer. Don't fall for that.
